Strap yourself in as summer takes flight at Hawk Creek Wildlife Center’s annual Bird of Prey Day on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 11:00am-4:00pm. Enjoy one-of-a-kind, up-close and personal encounters with local and exotic wildlife. Live birds of prey will zoom past audiences during the thrilling “Avian Air Force” show! Invite dad to bring his camera for an unforgettable Father’s Day experience with amazing photography opportunities!
Event guests will have the unique opportunity to participate in the enrichment and training of Hawk Creek’s animal ambassadors, one of the largest exhibitions of birds of prey in New York State. Also featured will be rare, behind-the-scenes wild cat feedings, entertainment, children activities and exhibits, gift shop, and refreshments. Children will have their own “Flight Mission” to take part in and, upon returning to base, will earn their “wings”.
Hawk Creek’s incredible wildlife includes hawks, owls, falcons, vultures, eagles, wild cats and more! Stand face-to-face with our national symbol, the bald eagle, in the Walk With the Eagles TM enclosure and witness an exclusive training session with Freedom, one of Hawk Creek’s bald eagle ambassadors.
Event parking is free and tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for veterans and seniors, $8 for children, and $26 for a family pass. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online (free shipping). 10% off online ticket purchases until June 4, 2011.
