As the Buffalo Philharmonic successfully completes its historic milestone of 75 years of music-making, we owe a debt of gratitude to all that came before us…our founders, patrons, musicians and staff. And we would be remiss not to mention our home, Kleinhans Music Hall, an architectural and historical marvel in which we are privileged to perform.

We now turn to 2011-2012 with the spirit, soul and passion that defines your orchestra. Join us for the grandeur, bliss, inspiration and excitement
that the new season promises.

These events draw record crowds into Downtown Buffalo and create spin-off business for bars, restaurants and dance clubs.

On Thursday April 28, 2011, the Roycroft Campus Corporation in collaboration with The Roycroft Chamber Music Festival will hold its third "A Little Musical Journey" event. Inspired by Elbert Hubbard's own Little Journey series, these unique events explore the great composers, musicians and music throughout history.

For one night, the stage at Kleinhan's Music Hall will be transformed into the 1912 fictional River City, Iowa as the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra presents The Music Man. Buffalo’s own Michele Ragusa takes the stage as Fanny Brice, the role popularized by Barbra Streisand on both stage and screen, in a concert setting of the story based on the life and career of the star of Broadway and cinema.
