Free Concerts

For 42 years, M&T Bank’s Plaza Event Series began on June 6, 2011 and will continue to offer a diverse line up of music, acting, dancing, and more until August 26, 2011.
This year, the stage has moved to the north side of the plaza to accommodate construction that is part of M&T’s multimillion dollar investment to renovate the exterior of One M&T Plaza.
The Plaza Event Series is free and held daily from noon to 1 pm. With a 12-week schedule, the series is the longest running, corporate-sponsored event of its kind in the United States.

Art takes many forms – not the least of which is music and performance! Lewiston, NY hums with free musical events sponsored by the Lewiston Council on the Arts throughout the year. Jazz, blues, open mic, Woodstock – what more could you ask?

THE BUFFALO OLMSTED PARKS CONSERVANCY PROUDLY PRESENTS
SUMMER BREEZE BY THE LAKE is a 9 week all-ages concert series that features a variety of musical acts performing at the top of Shakespeare Hill in Delaware Park every Thursday from June 16, 2011 through August 11, 2011. Proceeds from the series benefit the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy.

Concerts run on Wednesdays & Saturdays from June 15 - August 27, 2011 on the Erie Canal in Gateway Harbor Park in North Tonawanda, NY. Every concert 100% free for all ages!

 

Gateway Harbor, located in North Tonawanda, is one of the premier recreation locations in Western New York with a summer season packed with free events and entertainment. Situated at the start of the Erie Canal, Gateway Harbor is also one of New York State’s best kept boating secrets.

The United States Navy Concert Band, the premier wind ensemble of the U.S. Navy, presents a wide array of marches, patriotic selections, orchestral transcriptions and modern wind ensemble repertoire.  As the original ensemble of the Navy Band, the Concert Band has been performing public concerts and participating in high-profile events for more than 85 years.

February 6th at Kleinhans Music Hall

Buffalo Chamber Music Society presents 21-year-old pianist Charlie Albright winner of the 2009 Young Concert Artists International Auditions as part of their Gift to the Community Recital Series. His stunning performance at the competition of four Chopin Etudes brought audience and judges alike to their feet. This is a free concert and tickets are not required.

BUFFALO BALL DROP RETURNS TO DOWNTOWN FOR 23rd YEAR

The 23rd annual “Buffalo Ball Drop & Fireworks Display” at the Iskalo Electric Tower is back, to ring in 2011!

This year, get ready for a special show and concert so Western New York can celebrate together. Key donors stepped-up once again to make sure the annual tradition continues, and show the thousands of guests from around the world here for the World Junior Hockey Tournament how Buffalo rings in the New Year.

Every Friday at 12:30 noon a free 30 minute concert is offered to the public.
