TICK, TICK... BOOM! is an autobiographical masterpiece by the late Jonathan Larson, originally performed as a solo work in 1990. Fast forward two decades. Daniel Henderson, Connor Graham and Vanessa Elder, students at the Buffalo Academy of the Performing Arts – yes, a high school – decided they would produce a student-run musical. The result will be on stage at the Manny Fried Playhouse on May 6th - 22nd Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 6 p.m. at 225 Great Arrow Ave on the third floor.

Chris Matthews, host of "Hardball with Chris Matthews," Monday through Friday on msnbc (5 and 7 PM EST) will speak at Daemen College 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Matthews' talk, "A Political Insiders View From Washington," will serve as the keynote address to the 2011 Daemen College Academic Festival, and will be held in Wick Center on the Daemen campus, 4380 Main Street in Amherst.
