The Niagara Holiday Market is designed to be the largest European-style holiday market and festival in America. With 37 days of operation and an estimated attendance of 400,000+ this is a must-attend event attraction with super-regional draw. 

 

Mix and create an authentic winter wonderland experience – at the home of one of the wonders of the world – that will captivate Western New York, Southern Ontario and reach to Toronto, Rochester, Cleveland, and beyond.

 

It will feature 80+ vendors showing their unique artisans, crafts, gift, apparel, and specialty foods.

The Market will officially open on Friday, November 25 at 12pm (Black Friday) and run for 37 days thru New Year’s Day, Saturday, January 1, 2012. The Market will be closed Christmas Day. Hours are 11am to 7pm, Sunday thru Thursdays and open until 8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The vendor row of merchants will operate along 3 blocks of Old Falls Street, from 3rd Street (near the Seneca Niagara Casino) to the main entry of the State Park.

Here are a few examples of planned events and attractions:

  • 6,000-square-feet ice skating rink.
  • 70-foot tall Christmas tree and official lighting ceremony
  • Tournament of songs featuring more than 40 high school choirs from Western New York and Southern Ontario schools. 
  • Holiday concert series featuring Aaron Neville (Dec.1),Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (TBD), Elisabeth Von Trapp (Dec. 7 & 8) and Canadian Tenors (November 26) are just a few of the planned entertainment offerings during the market and festival. 
  • Taste of the Season Food and Wine Festival (December 16 to 18)
  • Santa's Workshop
  • Winter Wonderland, featuring snow shoeing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowman contests, snowball fights.
